Creating your dream closet doesn't have to be pricey or difficult. If you have the right accessories and basic pieces, the perfect closet is in your reach. The best advice I have is to use what's already in your closet instead of buying more pieces that might not match. Take time to piece together outfits. This will cut your dressing time in half and you may realize that you don't need another white t-shirt or jacket. Moreover, figure out what colors look best with your skin tone. You don't want to wear colors that will not highlight all of your beautiful features. I am blonde with blue eyes, and I find that pinks, purples, blues, and nudes look best on me. They are also my favorite colors. You want to wear colors that you like and will make you feel confident when you wear them.
I plan on posting a picture of one of my basics and pairing it with what I already have in my small apartment closet. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the picture below, but maybe someday I will have a closet that looks this clean and organized. It's organized because it's not overstuffed, and the owner can see what is in her closet, which makes it easier to to decide what you want to wear because you don't have as many options. I can't stress enough that accessories are your best friend, and they take up less space! I constantly wear the jewelry and scarfs I make. Hopefully, by showing you my creative outfits with my own handmade accessories, you can start to rethink you closet and see it's potential. I will also tell you where I got my pieces if you want to replicate my outfits you can! Stay tuned :)
